Affiliate and Ad Disclosure

How Jolly List earns money: Google AdSense advertising and Amazon affiliate search links. Ads are labeled, and money never decides what we recommend.

Last updated October 15, 2026

Jolly List is free to use. We pay for it through advertising and, in some cases, affiliate links. This page explains both so that you can judge our recommendations with full information.

Advertising

We show ads from Google AdSense. Ads are labeled "Advertisement" and appear in a limited number of fixed positions on article pages. We do not choose which advertisers appear and we do not endorse the products in ads. Advertisers cannot pay for placement in our editorial content. If you see an ad you believe is inappropriate or misleading, tell us through the contact page.

How money affects our content

It does not decide what we recommend. We choose gift ideas because they are useful to readers, and we describe categories and price ranges, not paid placements. We do not accept payment for a favorable mention. If we ever publish sponsored content, we will label it clearly at the top of the page.

Products we mention

When we mention a brand or product type as an example, it is because it is widely available or well known, not because we have been paid. We do not claim to have tested products unless we say so. Prices are typical ranges and may differ from what you see.

Why we disclose

We want you to know how the site works. Disclosure is also a requirement in many places: the US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guidelines call for clear disclosure of material connections, and the Amazon Associates program requires its own statement.
