This cookie policy explains how Jolly List (thejollylist.com) uses cookies and similar technologies and how you can control them. Read it with our privacy policy.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, work in a comparable way. Cookies can be first-party, set by the site you visit, or third-party, set by another company whose service the site uses, such as an advertising provider.
Categories we use
Strictly necessary and functional storage. This site stores a small amount of data in your browser's local storage to make tools work and remember your choices: your cookie consent choice (jl_consent_v1), saved gift ideas (jl_gf_saved), tracked purchases (jl_returns_v1), planner and list data (jl_plan_), your wish list (jl_wish_v1), quiz answers (jl_quiz_v1), opened Advent doors (jl_adv_open) and Secret Santa links you have used (jl_ss_groups). This data is not used for advertising and stays until you delete it.
Advertising cookies. We use Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners, including DoubleClick, may set or read cookies to show ads, limit how often you see an ad, measure ads and detect fraud. If you choose personalized ads, those cookies may be used to tailor ads to your interests. If you reject them, ads may still be shown but are not personalized in this way.
Analytics. We do not currently use a third-party analytics script. If we add one, we will list it here and ask for consent where required.
Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
Visitors in these regions see a banner, and advertising scripts do not load until you choose. You can accept, reject or manage the choice, and you can change it at any time with the "Cookie settings" button in the footer.
How to control cookies
Use the footer button to reopen your choices. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all storage may affect saved tool data, but the content will still work.
To opt out of personalized advertising more broadly, use Google Ads Settings, the Network Advertising Initiative, the Digital Advertising Alliance or, in Europe, Your Online Choices. For more on how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
There is no uniform standard for Do Not Track signals, and we do not respond to them. Where our tools can detect a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of personalized advertising.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
